WHEREAS, New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) through the Health Research Inc. has made funding available to support enhanced detection, surveillance and prevention of COVID-19 through the Covid-19 ELC grant #6463-1, which Sullivan County Public Health entered into in July of 2020 through Resolution # 301-20; and
WHERAS, Resolution # 394-21 added the Fellowship Program with SUNY Sullivan administering the program and Resolution # 503-22 requested that PCG be named as administrator of this grant instead of SUNY Sullivan and the term be extended to end June 30, 2024; and
WHEREAS, New York State Department of Health and Health Research Incorporated have given the Fellowship Program its own HRI grant number - #7229; and
WHEREAS, we request resolutions # 462-22 and #503-22 be modified to show the Fellowship Grant as a separate grant under HRI #7229; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sullivan County Legislature hereby authorizes the County Manager, Chairman of the County Legislature, and / or their authorized representative (as required by the funding source) to execute any and all necessary documents to authorize HRI Grant # 7229 for the Fellowship grant and to approve the modifications - when they are sent - to change PCG to administer the Public Health Fellowship Program in collaboration with SCPHS and extend term end date to June 30, 2024; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that should the funding be terminated, the County shall not be obligated to continue any action undertaken by the use of this funding.
