RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE TO EXECUTE AN MODIFICATION TO AN EXISTING CONTRACT WITH ZENCITY TECHNOLOGIES FOR TECHNOLOGY SERVICES
WHEREAS, a contract exists for #R-24-22, between Sullivan County and Zencity Technologies US Inc. for a Technology Platform capable of creating reports, streamlining social media posting and assessing community sentiment on issues of concern and interest; and
WHEREAS, that contract has been renewed annually since 2024; and
WHEREAS, Zencity has a module, termed “Engage Essentials,” which has been identified as able to replace the County’s existing contract with SurveyMonkey, at lower cost and with greater capability; and
WHEREAS, the County Manager’s Office (who has been the end user) recommends the “Engage Essentials” module be added to the existing Zencity contract and made available to all current SurveyMonkey users in the County’s employ; and
WHEREAS, Zencity has agreed to lock in the annual $10,000 fee for “Engage Essentials” for the next five (5) years; and
WHEREAS, Zencity has additionally agreed to provide a period of no-cost usage of “Engage Essentials” between passage of this resolution and the July 1, 2026 contract renewal.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Manager is authorized to execute a modification agreement to the existing contract with the above vendor at a cost not to exceed $10,000 annually, commencing July 1, 2026 and running for a 60-month term, to be automatically renewed annually unless 90-day notice is provided to terminate; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the form of said modification to be in such form as the County Attorney shall approve.
