enRESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE TO AUTHORIZE THE AWARD AND EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH TECTONIC ENGINEERING CONSULTANTS, GEOLOGISTS & LAND SURVEYORS, D.P.C., FOR GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR TERMINAL BUILDING REVITALIZATION AT SULLIVAN COUNTY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
WHEREAS, the County of Sullivan (the County), is the recipient of significant funding from the NYS Upstate Airport Economic Development and Revitalization Program; and
WHEREAS, this funding has been designated to revitalize the airport terminal building which requires professional architectural and engineering design services; and
WHEREAS, the County has entered into contract with an Architectural and Engineering Design firm and begun the design process; and
WHEREAS, the County agreed to hire a separate and independent firm to conduct geotechnical engineering services throughout this project; and
WHEREAS, the County through an RFP process for said services recommends award of contract with Tectonic Engineering Consultants, Geologists and Land Surveyors, D.P.C., 70 Pleasant Hill Road, PO Box 37, Mountainville, NY 10953.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sullivan County Legislature authorizes the County Manager to sign the necessary agreements, contracts, and documentation, in such form as the County Attorney shall approve, to retain the services of Tectonic Engineering Consultants, Geologists and Land Surveyors, D.P.C in accordance with their response to R-23-04, said response becoming exhibit to the contract.
