RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY THE PUBLIC SAFETY AND LAW ENFORCEMENT COMMITTEE TO AMEND RESOLUTION 269-13 REGARDING THE RATE OF PAY FOR THE EMERGENCY SERVICES TRAINING CENTER FACILITATOR
WHEREAS, Resolution 269-13 was adopted by the Sullivan County Legislature on July 18, 2013 to create the position of Emergency Services Training Center Facilitator (per diem) to allow a County employee to be on-site at the Sullivan County Emergency Services Training Center (now Richard A. Martinkovic Public Safety Training Center) during training exercises during non-business hours; and
WHEREAS, per Resolution 269-13, the rate of pay for each day of work of the Emergency Services Training Center Facilitator was set at fifty dollars ($50.00) to be reimbursed to the County by the participating Fire Department / Emergency Service Agency utilizing the facility; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 5-14 was subsequently adopted by the Sullivan County Legislature to amend Resolution 269-13 by not requiring any Fire Department or other Emergency Service Agency to reimburse the County for the cost for the Emergency Services Training Center Facilitator, at a cost not to exceed $5,000.00 per year; and
WHEREAS, the Sullivan County Division of Public Safety is now seeking to increase the daily rate of pay for the Emergency Services Training Center Facilitator to one hundred dollars ($100.00).
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sullivan County Legislature hereby amends Resolution 269-13 by increasing the rate of pay for each day of work of the Emergency Services Training Center Facilitator to one hundred dollars ($100.00); and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the increase in daily rate of pay shall take effect immediately.
