RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY NADIA RAJSZ, CHAIR OF THE LEGISLATURE TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS AND AUTHORIZE ENTERING INTO AGREEMENTS WITH DrFIRST.COM, INC. FOR THEIR CLOUD HOSTED ELECTRONIC PRESCRIPTION SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the Department of Community Services requires access to an electronic prescribing solution to function; and
WHEREAS, the provision of electronic prescribing services is necessary to support safe, efficient, and compliant clinical operations; and
WHEREAS, DrFirst, Inc. provides electronic prescribing technology compatible with the County’s clinical workflows and regulatory requirements; and
WHEREAS, entering into an agreement with DrFirst will enable continued access to electronic prescribing functionality for authorized providers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Manager is hereby authorized by the Sullivan County Legislature to enter into an annual Master Subscription Agreement and Business Associate Agreement DrFirst.com,Inc. for a period of 1-year in an amount not to exceed $2,500.00; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said agreement to be in such form as the County Attorney shall approve; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Sullivan County Legislature hereby authorizes the Commissioner of Management & Budget to appropriate $2,500.00 to cover the unbudgeted balance associated with this agreement, to be transferred from Contingent (A1989-99-47-4736) to ITS Computer Maintenance/Service Fees (A-1680-43-4304) in order to fully fund this project and acquisition.
