RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO ENTER INTO AN ENGAGEMENT WITH UKG FOR THE CONTINUED UTILIZATION AND UPGRADE TO THEIR UKG PRO CLOUD-BASED TIMEKEEPING AND HR PLATFORM
WHEREAS, in December 2016, the County of Sullivan issued a purchase order to implement and migrate to the Kronos Workforce Central timekeeping solution hosted and maintained on premises; and
WHEREAS, in 2020, Kronos merged with Ultimate Software creating the new and now known as company, UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group); and
WHEREAS, UKG is phasing out its Workforce Central product; and
WHEREAS, the County has determined that continued use and enhancement of UKG’s human resources and payroll management systems are necessary for consistency and efficient operations; and
WHEREAS, UKG Pro provides a cloud-based platform that supports these operational needs and offers required upgrades to maintain compliance, functionality, and service continuity; and
WHEREAS, UKG was already issued a PO under the terms and conditions of the OMNIA Cooperative Purchasing Agreement; and
WHEREAS, in addition to the issued PO, UKG and the County are requiring certain documents be signed to initiate said engagement and upgrade to the UKG Pro solution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sullivan County Legislature hereby authorizes the County Manager, to execute all necessary paperwork, contracts, and related documents necessary to enter into a 5-year engagement with UKG for the continued utilization and upgrade to their cloud-based UKG Pro platform; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that costs for said engagement are as follows and not to exceed:
2026: $176,000.00 - Initial migration, implementation, and deployment
2027: $20,000.00 - Annual software service and maintenance (SSMA)
2028: $20,000.00 - SSMA
2029: $20,000.00 - SSMA
2030: $20,000.00 - SSMA
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said documents to be in such form as the County Attorney shall approve.
