The Department of Community Services utilizes OpenPM practice management software to support its administrative, billing, claims processing and related operations. This resolution authorizes an agreement directly with Open Practice Solutions, Ltd. for the Department’s continued use of OpenPM and associated services, with costs in accordance with the OpenPM Pricing Addendum.

RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE TO AUTHORIZE AN AGREEMENT WITH OPEN PRACTICE SOLUTIONS, LTD. FOR OPENPM PRACTICE MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE AND SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Sullivan County Department of Community Services requires practice management software and related services to support its administrative and billing operations; and
WHEREAS, Open Practice Solutions, Ltd. provides OpenPM, a healthcare practice management software platform that includes practice management functionality, integrated clearinghouse services, claims and remittance processing, eligibility transactions, reporting, support, product updates, and cloud hosting; and
WHEREAS, Open Practice Solutions, Ltd. has provided the County with a Software License Agreement and Pricing Addendum for the Department of Community Services' continued use of OpenPM and associated services; and
WHEREAS, the Pricing Addendum provides for a monthly subscription fee of $100.00 and a per-visit fee of $0.90, together with applicable charges for any additional products or services utilized by the Department of Community Services; and
WHEREAS, Open Practice Solutions, Ltd. may receive, use, maintain, or have access to Protected Health Information in connection with providing these services and has provided a Business Associate Agreement addressing its obligations with respect to such information.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Open Practice Solutions, Ltd. for OpenPM practice management software and related services for the Sullivan County Department of Community Services, with costs in accordance with the OpenPM Pricing Addendum; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said agreement shall be in such form as the County Attorney shall approve.
