Specify Compliance with Procurement Procedures: RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE TO MODIFY RESOLUTION NO. 38-26 WITH GARNET HEALTH MEDICAL CENTER FOR MORGUE SERVICES WHEREAS, the Sullivan County Legislature adopted Resolution No. 38-26 on February 19, 2026, and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 38-26 authorized $74,787.33 for morgue services with $35,000 of that amount would be coming out of Contingent, and WHEREAS, the funding amount referenced for 2026 in resolution 38-26 needs to be amended; and WHEREAS, the correct funding amount for the 2026 year should read $84,787.32; and NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sullivan County Legislature hereby authorizes the County Manager to execute a modification agreement with Garnet Health Medical Center as follows: 1. The term of the modification shall be for one year, January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026, with the option to extend on a yearly basis. 2. The County shall pay Garnet Health Medical Center an all-inclusive one-time fee of ($84,787.32), paid in advance, for the 2026 year for access to and use of its morgue and for provision of histopathology and radiology services; and 3. Effective January 1, 2027, all contract extensions shall revert back to the 2% increase of the prior year’s annual fee of $39,787.32. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the 2026 Operating Budget be modified as follows for the purpose of funding the remaining unbudgeted balance associated with this agreement: Increase A-1185-47-4719 $10,000.00 Decrease A-1989-99-47-4736 $10,000.00 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, Resolution #38-26 is hereby modified as per the above and other provisions of resolution #243-24 shall remain unchanged and said modification agreement be in such form approved by the County Attorney’s Office. |
