RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE TO AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH KETCHAM FENCING, INC. TO PROVIDE SECURITY FENCING AND GATE OPERATORS AT THE SULLIVAN COUNTY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

 

WHEREAS, the Office of Emergency Management/Homeland Security, within the Sullivan County Division of Public Safety, recommended that the Sullivan County E-911 building, located at the Sullivan County International Airport, have security fencing and a gate installed to provide protection of the employee parking and building; and

 

WHEREAS, the gate access to the General Aviation T-Hangars would be better suited if relocated from the existing location at the center of the main parking lot to in-between the E-911 building and H3; and

 

WHEREAS, the new terminal building has new cable fencing installed between it and the apron, which has a vehicle gate and a man gate in need of operators; and

 

WHEREAS, the Division of Public Works with the Office of General Services prepared and let bid B-25-51 Security Fence for Various Locations; and

 

WHEREAS, Ketcham Fencing, Inc., 19 Borden St., Otisville, NY 10963 was the low and responsible bidder; and

 

WHEREAS, after review of the proposal Public Works recommends a contract be executed in an amount not to exceed $232,547.00 with Ketcham Fencing, Inc. for the above portions of the security fence and gate operator work, per their proposal.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Manager be and hereby is authorized to execute any and all agreements to retain the services of Ketcham Fencing, Inc., 19 Borden St., Otisville, NY 10963, in the amount not to exceed $232,547.00, in such form as the County Attorney shall approve.
