INTRODUCED BY CATHERINE SCOTT, CHAIR OF THE HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES COMMITTEE TO AMEND RESOLUTION #291-23 AND ENTER INTO A CONTRACT AGREEMENT WITH THE NYS OFFICE OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES (OCFS) TO ACCEPT GRANT MONIES FOR THE SULLIVAN COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES "HEALTHY FAMILIES OF SULLIVAN"
WHEREAS, Sullivan County Public Health Services was awarded grant monies from the NYS Office of Children and Family Services (NYSOCFS), for the period September 1, 2022 - August 31, 2025; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution #289-07, the County Manager was authorized to enter into contract with the NYSOCFS to accept such grant monies; and
WHEREAS, the Sullivan County Public Health Services recently was awarded grant monies for the Healthy Families of NY Sullivan program for a three-year contract period (9/1/2022 - 8/31/2025); and
WHEREAS, the Legislature Authorized Resolution #291-23 for the award agreement, which now requires amendment to update the award agreement amount.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Legislature Resolution #291-23 be amended and that the County Manager be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with NYSOCFS to accept grant monies in the amount of $285,202 annually (9/1/2022 - 8/31/2025), which is subject to 10% County Local Share matching requirement (annual amount of $28,520) for the Healthy Families ...
